I am a freelance award-winning director, specialising in talent led travel documentaries featuring Michael Palin, Stanley Tucci, Joanna Lumley and many more!   I’m fortunate to love my job and enjoy all aspects of directing, from development to filming and editing.  I believe passionately that travel documentaries can help to break down the barriers and prejudices that we all have about ‘other’ people and cultures.  As well as directing on screen talent, I enjoy collaborating with the best crews, editors, production managers and composers to make great television.  I’m always happy to hear about new projects, so please feel free to get in contact with me.

Michael Palin follows the Tigris river for a thousand miles, from eastern Turkey, through Iraq to the Persian Gulf, trying to see what everyday life is like in this part of the world.

4 x 1hr “Stanley Tucci - Searching for Italy” Winner of the Primetime Emmy Award 2021 for Best Hosted Series and Critics Choice Award 2021 for Best Travel & Adventure series 
Stanley Tucci goes on a gastronomic trip around Tuscany, Sicily, Lombardy and Rome.  I directed the first four episodes on location in 2 x 3 week filming blocks.

2 x 1hr “Michael Palin in North Korea” Nominations for RTS, BAFTA craft, Broadcast & Broadcasting Press Guild Awards.
After two years of negotiation, Michael Palin embarks on a two week trip across North Korea, from Pyongyang to Mount Paektu.
